The Science Technology and Innovation Hub encourages new ideas and innovations and promote scientific and technological interventions and innovations for socio-economic development of Scheduled Caste and Tribal communities. The Science for Equity, Empowerment and Development (SEED) Division under the Department of Science and Technology (DST) has been implementing various programs and projects for human capacity building and empowerment of SC and ST communities through research, development, adoption, transfer, dissemination and delivery of proven technologies. Establishment of a Science Technology and Innovation (STI) Hub will promote, develop and ensure development, promotion and delivery of appropriate and relevant S&T approaches for social and economic development of Scheduled Castes and Tribes in the country.
