Centre for Waste Management, Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology (Deemed to be University) in association with Wasmanpro Environmental Solutions LLP, Chennai organized Six days intensive training on Resourceful waste Conversion Technologies "ReConverT 2022"- Series 2 from 14th to 21st February 2022. Around 17 students from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Mechatronics Engineering and Department of Automobile Engineering, Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology participated in the programme. ReConverT-2022 is a blended training programme with both theoretical and practical sessions. Lab scale and Pilot scale Production of Biodiesel from Waste Cooking Oil, Algae Cultivation and Isolation for lipid extraction, Gas Chromatography for Raw Oil and Biodiesel Composition Analysis, Biodiesel Properties evaluation as per ASTM standards, Thermochemical Conversion Processes of Biomass, Impact of Undergraduate Waste Management and Environmental Research towards Innovation and Entrepreneurship Opportunities were covered during the training sessions. The Valedictory session was held at the Centre for Waste Management on 24th Feb 2022.
