Highlights:

  • Demonstration of Collection, Segregation, and Feeding of Food Waste in to the Digester

  • Operation of Biogas Plant and Fuel Storage

  • Analysis of Biogas Plant Sludge (pH, Alkalinity, VFA) for evaluation of Anaerobic Digester Stability.

Date and Venue:

The Programme was conducted on 22nd July 2023 at bio-processing lab, Centre for waste management and one tonne capacity biogas plant.

Students/Researchers/Academicians:

Around 70 students from Department of Biotechnology, AVC College., and Department of Agriculture Engineering, Mahendra Engineering College and Department of Agriculture, Paavai Engineering College and department of civil, University College of Engineering Dindigul, and Department of IT, Saveetha School of Engineering Participated and Benefited from the programme. The participants had visited the various facilities of Centre for Waste Management, Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology. The training program included biogas production from food waste and biogas plant silage water testing, creating interests in the participants to do internships, projects in the alternate fuel domain

The training program included biogas production from food waste and biogas plant silage water testing, creating interests in the participants to do internships, projects in the alternate fuel domain.
