International Conference on Impact of Climate Change on Food, Energy and Environment (ICCFEE-2013) was organized by Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology (Deemed to be University) in association with Regional Meteorological Centre, India Meteorological Department from 4th to 6th July 2013. The Conference was formally inaugurated by the lighting of Kuthuvillaku by the dignitaries. Our Chancellor Col.Dr.Jeppiaar delivered the presidential address in which he highlighted the significant changes in temperature in the recent years and invited the researchers and students to work vigorously in bringing out technologies to mitigate climate change. The presidential address was followed by the felicitation of the guests and Inaugural address of the Chief Guest Dr.S.Ramakrisknan, Director, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Trivandrum. Dr.Ramakrishnan enlightened the audience with the role of space technology in analyzing & forecasting the Climate Change. Dr.Y.E.A.Raj, Deputy Director General of Meteorology, who was consistently supporting the conference since it started taking shape, delivered the Keynote address. The Proceedings of the conference was released after the inauguration by Col. Dr.Jeppiaar and the first copy was received by Chief Guest and Director of VSSC Dr.Ramakrishnan.

After high tea the plenary session followed with a series of talk by Dr. Swadhin Behera, Dr. A. Nambi and Dr. S. Balachandran.
